Team Unity

Team unity means that a group of people work together as a team to achieve a common goal (Graupensperger & Evans, 2019). When a team is united, everyone in the team works well together, takes responsibility for their actions, and cares about the success of the team more than their individual success. A united team has a positive social identity and sticks together, both on and off the field (Graupensperger & Evans, 2019). Team unity can be measured by how well the team coordinates and performs their tasks, as well as by how well they get along as a group. When a team communicates openly, values each other, shares similar values, and avoids forming groups within the team, they are more likely to be united. Being part of a united team is associated with better performance, happier members, and greater motivation ((Graupensperger & Evans, 2019).
