Social Networks

Social networks are groups of people or organizations that interact with each other (Fleming, 2019). These groups can be big or small and have strong or weak connections between them (Fleming, 2019). Social network analysis (SNA) is a way to study these relationships and how connected people and groups are within a network. It looks at patterns of connections between individuals and how they influence each other (Fleming, 2019). Social network analysis can be used in many different areas like business, health, military, and sports (Fleming, 2019). SNA is important because it allows us to study relationships and structures within groups, and not just individuals which helps us understand how people work together and how that affects their performance (Fleming, 2019).
