Rest

Rest is a time when a person is not affected by outside things. It means taking a break and being calm, which helps the body and mind feel better. Rest is a type of recovery that is different from other types because it doesn’t involve using energy or doing specific activities. Sleep is an important part of rest because it helps the body and mind work properly, including things like learning and remembering information.

According to Meeusen et al. (2013), rest is a way to take a break from the usual daily routine. It can make someone feel less bored and reduce how stressed they feel. Not having rest days when training is intense can lead to problems with recovery, like feeling very tired or not recovering properly.
