Qualitative Research is a complex and ever-changing field where researchers focus on understanding people’s experiences and the meanings they attach to events, behaviors, emotions, and feelings (Smith, 2019). Instead of trying to predict or generalize statistically, qualitative research involves interpreting and making sense of people’s experiences and actions. Researchers also try to understand how social and cultural factors shape these experiences and meanings. They interact extensively with the people they study to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to live in their world. Qualitative researchers use various methods like interviews, observations, artifacts, diaries, media materials, and visuals (Smith, 2019). It’s important to note that qualitative research is influenced by historical, social, and cultural factors.
