Qigong is a system that combines body movements, breathing, and meditation to improve health, spirituality, and martial arts skills. It comes from ancient Chinese traditions like medicine, philosophy, and martial arts (Cohen, 1999). Practicing Qigong involves doing slow movements, breathing deeply, and having a calm mind. People all over the world do Qigong for different reasons like exercise, relaxation, and self-healing. It is also used for meditation and martial arts training. Although there have been some studies on the benefits of Qigong, more research is needed to fully understand its effects on physical and mental health (Jahnke, Larkey, Rogers, Etnier, & Lin, 2010; Lee, Oh, & Ernst, 2011).
