Psyche

When we talk about the soul, mind, or spirit, we use the word “psyche.” It’s like the opposite of “body,” which is called “soma.” “Psyche” is the main word in psychology and sport psychology. Some authors prefer to use “psyche,” while others like “mental.” In sport psychology based on scientific evidence, they often use “mental” when they’re talking about mental tests or mental training (Hackfort, 2019).
