Fluid Resistance

Resistance to motion of a body in a fluid due to forces of friction being exerted between the body and the fluid. Fluid resistance is directly proportional to the cross-sectional area of a body at right angles to the motion, and directly proportional to the square of the velocity of the body relative to the fluid.
