Rob Balucas was training for his first half IRONMAN triathlon when a cycling accident rendered him paraplegic. He made a vow to return to the sport within a year and went on to race in 3 sprint-distance triathlons the following year. Using the Strava app to track his rehab, he advised Strava’s engineers to include handcycling as an activity. He has played a significant role in shaping the wheelchair athlete community at CAF.
